BESAN KHOYA BURFI / BESAN MAWA BURFI / GRAM FLOUR FUDGE
INGREDIENTS
1 cup besan (gram flour)
1 cup homemade mawa / khoya
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
dry fruits for garnishing
METHOD
Make homemade mawa in microwave or on gas top in non-stick pan, and keep aside.
Heat ghee in pan, add besan and roast till fragrant. Once besan is fragrant turn off the gas and let it come down to room temperature, add homemade mawa / khoya mix well till it gets incorporated in besan.
Add powdered sugar only when besan comes down to room temperature. Don't add sugar in hot besan else it will release water and make the mixture liquidy which will be difficult to set.
Grease plate with ghee or set parchment paper and transfer mix in it and let it set in fridge for 3-4 hours or till it gets firm.
Cut in desired shape. Serve and store upto 1 week.
